Dwayne’s Story
From growing up on a council estate, raised by a single parent mum, witnessing her being sent to prison, enduring foster care and children’s homes, Dwayne’s life spiralled into violence, crime and addiction to Class A drugs at a premature age of 13 years old. Over the next 17 years, he found himself in and out of prison, surviving multiple near-fatal stabbings and shootings. Yet, despite the odds stacked against him, Dwayne has transformed his life in a truly remarkable way.
Now an author, public figure and educator in human potential. Dwayne has worked with some of the UK’s most influential institutions, including (MOJ), Ministry of Justice (HMPPS), Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, (DWP) the Department for Work and Pensions, as well as staring in Channel 4 Banged Up, ITV Documentary and the BBC News just naming a view.
Dwayne’s story is one of resilience, transformation, and empowerment—a true testament to what’s possible when determination meets purpose.
